This past weekend we had the opportunity to celebrate one of the greatest women I know, my Mama! I will never understand how she does everything does for us and remains so strong through all that our family has been through.  She is truly incredible and our family is so lucky to have her!

After we checked off a lot of the big wedding day decisions (ceremony and reception sites, photographer, bridal gown, etc), this mother-daughter-duo was excited to find the perfect Mother of the Bride dress.

My mom is a youngin’ and we often get confused as sisters when we’re out…lucky for me!  We wanted to be sure to look for something for her that was elegant and classic but still young-looking.  When started our search online we found that most dresses associated with “Mothers of the Bride” would age my mom and it was actually when we looked at bridesmaids’ styles that we found options that were a better fit for her age. With our wedding colors being in the neutral family, we decided that black would be a great choice for mom, though we did consider some gray options.

Isn’t it gorgeous?! I’m tempted to purchase one for myself! I just adore this over-the-shoulder ruffle and think my mama will look fabulous!

This Dessy 2839 is offered at numerous retailers including Bella Bridesmaid in Kansas City, where my mom placed her order.  We are so excited for it to come in this next month!
