Romantic meets Rustic: Reception Inspiration

Last week my mom and I had a consultation with a florist and it was so fun to put together our ideas for floral arrangements, my bouquet, boutonnieres, etc!  I am anxious to receive our estimate so that we can move forward!

We are opting for arrangements full of soft romantic whites, raw cotton, succulents, magnolias and garden roses.  I really hope to create some Southern warmth in our mid-winter celebration with details such as the cotton bolls, mason jars and candlelight!

Y’all may know I am quite the contest nut…and a vendor that stole my heart with their beautiful bolls, Floral Cotton, is giving away 50 bolls to one lucky lady + gent for their day through Southern Weddings Magazine!  Two other couples will receive 25 bolls a piece!  You can bet I entered myself in that one!

Today I wanted to share with y’all some of my inspiration images for our reception.  Enjoy! :

I am so excited to see how all of these elements will come together! As you may have noticed, we aren’t using too many bold colors in our arrangements.  I’m thinking the pureness of whites and the natural/rustic feel is much more fitting for dear BRS and myself!

Leave some love below and let me know what you think! Add some color?  Keep the neutral tones?  We’ve got plenty of time to switch things up!

  1. Madi,
First off all this website is so stinking cute! Being a bride myself, I think white and ivory are a great idea with less bright colors because I like traditional and elegant. I love your idea of having natural tones! If you did want to add soft colors or pastels they would still be beautiful. Best of luck to you and Bret!

  2. Madi,

Love your reception ideas…can’t wait to get in on the action!! Love you sweetie!!
